James qualified as an architect and became director at HLA in 2021. He has broad and varied experience working on private residential schemes, predominately new build homes in Wimbledon Village and the surrounding areas. James has worked on many large basement extensions with private leisure facilities and swimming pools. His background includes large mixed-use residential and commercial projects around south London and Surrey.

Andrew studied architecture at Cambridge University and urban design at Harvard University. He has over 25 years' experience on all scales of design and has worked in a variety of established practices including Yorke Rosenberg Mardall, Sir Colin StJohn Wilson and Partners, Pollard Thomas Edwards, Anthony Ng Architects (Hong Kong) and Denton Corker Marshall finally becoming a partner at Holden Harper Architects in 1999. Over the next 14 years Andrew gained a reputation for high quality bespoke residential design in and around Wimbledon and south London.

Having been with the practice for three years now Elina has been a formidable and extremely hard work individual and can boast working on the most significant and complex projects in the office. Her work and attention to detail has lifted the quality of our work as a practice and her dedication and client relations have seen projects completed successfully. The tenacious way Elina approaches her work, along with having a background in high quality residential architecture & design, allows her to effectively resolve projects from the drawing board through to site.

Jon studied at Arts University Bournemouth for his bachelor's and master's degrees where he also assisted in tutoring the 1st year students during his time as a postgrad. He excels at hand drawing and digital rendering and his sketches and visualisations are great tools in communicating a concept. In-between his BA and MA, Jon worked at Helyer Davies Architects and John Brown Architects working on a range of residential buildings from extensions to new-builds, including Harbour House in Chichester

ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT

B Arch(AUB) Matt completed his bachelor’s degree at Arts University Bournemouth, where he demonstrated his attention to detail in digital and physical modelling as a design and presentation tool. After graduating, he worked with Hampshire County Architects gaining experience in the public sector working on schools and heritage projects including Cornerstone Primary School and Whitchurch Silk Mill before continuing his studies in Lund, Sweden for his master's degree. Upon returning to England, he worked with Andrew Harper Architects, now Harper Latter Architects, working on several high-end private residential projects in Wimbledon.
